What is tapping

A gentle practice for a calmer you

Tapping, also known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), is an evidence-based mind-body practice that combines gentle acupressure tapping with focused awareness.

By tapping on specific points on the body while focusing on a thought, feeling, or memory, we can help calm the nervous system and shift the way the brain processes distress.

Over time, this can help dissolve old behavioural patterns and neutralise emotions that may have been held onto for years.

With a skilled facilitator, results can be quick — giving you emotional relief in a shorter period of time than many traditional talk-based therapies.

Do I need to believe in it?

No. Tapping works whether you're a believer or a sceptic — you simply need to be open to giving it a try.

Can I learn it myself?

Yes. Once you've learned the basics, tapping becomes a practical tool you can use yourself between sessions.

Is it available online?

Yes, and it's just as effective online as in person. All you need is a quiet space and an internet connection.

About me

Meet Diane

My journey with tapping began over 15 years ago after a cancer diagnosis left me struggling with PTSD and searching for a way to heal. Having tried countless therapies and modalities without finding the relief I was looking for, discovering Tapping was life-changing.

What started as a personal healing journey grew into a passion for helping others. Today, I support clients in uncovering old patterns, limiting beliefs, and emotional blocks that may be holding them back.

I love witnessing the transformation that happens when people gain a deeper understanding of themselves — allowing them to move forward with greater confidence and ease.

I bring warmth, empathy, and a completely non-judgemental approach to every session, creating a safe space where you can feel comfortable, supported, and truly heard.

Client Experiences

In their own words.

I can't recommend Di highly enough. Through Tapping, she helped me uncover and release a deeply buried feeling that I'd been carrying for over 30 years. Her calm, compassionate approach made me feel completely safe and supported throughout. It genuinely feels like a weight has been lifted.

Vicky

Di helped me uncover and work through long-held beliefs that were holding me back in my career progression. Through several tapping sessions, we traced these patterns back to earlier life experiences where I felt overlooked. It has helped me build confidence and given me a new perspective.

FAQ

Good to know

My 1-hour sessions are conducted in a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment. Together, we'll explore the issue you'd like support with and identify any underlying emotions or beliefs. I will guide you through the tapping sequences, which are repeated until the emotional intensity is reduced and you reach a place of neutrality. You remain fully in control throughout and can work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

This varies depending on your goals and the nature of the issue. Some people experience significant shifts in just one session, while others benefit from ongoing support to work through deeper patterns and long-standing challenges. During your initial session, we can discuss what may be most appropriate for your situation.

Tapping can be a powerful tool for working with trauma and emotional distress. However, it is important that significant trauma is approached carefully and at a pace that feels safe. If you have experienced trauma, sessions will focus on creating safety and emotional regulation while gently addressing underlying issues.

No. While understanding the issue is helpful, you do not need to share every detail of a difficult experience for tapping to be effective. Sessions are always guided by your comfort level.

This is completely normal. Emotions are often a sign that something important is being processed. Sessions are conducted in a supportive environment, and we will work together to ensure you feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout.

No. Tapping is a complementary wellbeing practice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical or mental health conditions. It can be used alongside appropriate medical, psychological, or healthcare support.

With a skilled facilitator, results can be quick — giving you emotional relief in a shorter period of time compared to other talk-based therapies. Sessions deal with the root cause of emotional discomfort and help you recognise and remove limiting beliefs and negative patterns. Some clients achieve remarkable results in just a few sessions.
